The following expressions are commonly used to identify mini umbrellas: Micro Mini, Super Mini, Ultra Mini, Deluxe Super Mini and Compact Mini. The physical length of these umbrellas varies from 5" to 12" when closed.
The size of an umbrella is identified by the term "Arc." When an umbrella is open, if you measure the top from one side over the top to the other side this is the Arc.
Umbrellas with a 48" Arc will cover a person and a half or two people close together. Umbrellas with an Arc size smaller than 48" are for a single person. Golf umbrellas have an Arc size of 60" or larger and will cover two and a half people.
Mini umbrellas can have either four, five, six or eight panels and are available in both solid and alternating panel colors. The number of panels and colors to be imprinted are dependent upon your logo, promotional message and marketing needs. The imprint area size will vary based upon the type and style of umbrella.
On umbrellas with an Arc size of 48" or smaller, normally only one panel is imprinted.
Because of their large size, most golf umbrellas are imprinted on two opposite side panels.
In addition some manufacturers provide the capability of imprinting on the sleeve and also the tie wrap of the umbrella.
In an effort to maximize their profits, fund raisers will perform the following:
- Imprint their logo on two opposite panels
- Locate two sponsors who are willing to have their logos imprinted once on one panel.
- Charge each sponsor half of the cost of the project.
When the umbrellas are sold, 100% profit is made.
